Challenge presented: Over 50% of people have not seen an Optometrist in 5 years and DEC recognized a strong campaign was needed to help inform the general public concerning the importance of regular checkups. We were required to develop two independent campaigns that were targeted to different demographics: 1) Age 16 to 30 2) 25 and above.
How the solution met the challenge: The “Sightless” and “This Could Get Awkward” campaigns were both successful in targeting the required demographics on a level that propelled the viewer to take action and book an appointment with an optometrist.
Challenge presented: Develop a clean, crisp website for oddjects Inc that would showcase the stores funky and trendy home decor. Based in Halifax and Singapore, oddjects brings fashion, trend and quirky innovations to your home space.
How the solution met the challenge: We rose to the challenge by developing a website that embodied their unique and quirky design while maintaining the ability to grow and support additional features such as e-commerce and multiple languages.
Challenge presented: Develop a series of appealing and relevant social marketing health communications (newsletters) for CPC, following strict Shepell.fgi and CPC brand standards, that compel employees to read the piece and thus increase their awareness on the subject.
How the solution met the challenge: Branded photography, bright colors and strong graphical elements were used to present the information in a clear and well-organized manner and to engage the reader. Information was well laid out, allowing the reader to easily understand the material.
Challenge presented: ThirdWave provides marketing, Salesforce and support automation consulting services to clients in both the public and private sectors. They needed a website that would allow them to promote multiple products from within one site.
How the solution met the challenge: Working with Aaron Whitman president of Able Sense a Halifax based development firm, we developed a site that visually separated ThirdWave's products through the use of color while maintaining consistency throughout the entire site with typography and graphic elements.
Challenge presented: Develop an e-Commerce site and promotional campaign for The Uncommon Group, an innovative client with a high regard for design. Their stylish coffee shops, confections, and wares have made a big impact, with their products, being shipped around the world.
How the solution met the challenge: This umbrella e-Commerce site encompassing all 5 brands meant maintaining the look, tone and feel of each individual sub-brand within the Uncommon Group, while keeping a unified look and style. This was successfully achieved through color, typography and graphical elements that tied all brands together.
Challenge presented: The University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine was in search for an engaging and interesting way to present complex topics online.
How the solution met the challenge: We developed a video that mimics a classroom environment through the use of narration and a whiteboard style animation as a visual aid. Viewers are engaged on multiple levels, aiding in a better understanding of the topic.
Challenge presented: The online pet food market is saturated with retailers and finding a competitive edge is often difficult. My pet Food Network Inc, a new online pet food business which rewards its current customers for recommendations, needed a new brand and promotional material.
How the solution met the challenge: We developed a strong brand for the new business that included a logo, icon set, stationary, brochure and website design that was implemented with a template shopping cart system.
Challenge presented: Moderation Town is a 6-part comedy web series produced by Showcase.ca about a small town that is forced into web moderation as a source of income after their local factory closes.
How the solution met the challenge: We were contracted by Stitch Media as design consultants for the website and episode graphics that included fake screen shot designs and animations.
